Risk profile elevation

After 4 years of unemployment I then found a job but could not pay back the money because at the time I was told the account was closed. With the lack of information at the time and not really knowing what the impact was going to be I let it go and since I was heavily indebted all I did was just work on paying off what I could

I eventually paid off everything in May and to my surprise I couldn't apply for anything at FNB, I queried this and as I was talking to one agent she said she was going to refer me to a credit specialist to elevate my account since I paid off my debt and have no ITC listings.

The credit specialist checked my account and revealed to me that the reason I can't apply for anything is because I have a credit card that was written off and I should speak to collections so I could pay it off. I was referred to collections and Collections referred me to Brook and Luyt attorneys who indicated to me that the account is closed and prescribed the cannot do anything

Called FNB again, collections sent me to debt review where I spoke to a helpful lady Washila, who was patient enough to listen to my ordeal and told me legal should be able to look at my case and advice, she indicated that depending on my willingness to settle the account my risk could be elevated. She referred me to Legal where a lady who I couldn't get a name was very rude and even told me she doesn't care what I do because nothing can be done on my account. I even asked her if that means I should move my accounts to another bank and she said if that's how I feel about it.

Nonetheless I called Debt review department again hoping to find Washila to give her feedback but I found a gentlemen who atleast listened and also gave me the Risk department number which unfortunately was not answered. I kept trying until today where the fifth person and 100th, no resolution . I have since been calling and sending emails with no answer

I'm here hoping to get help in getting my risk profile elevated and also willing to settle that credit card debt asap if that is what is required
