*******

I bought a Dell laptop via my FNB online account which FNB offers to their clients. I received the lap top and on the first use of the DVD ROM of the laptop had strange sounds whilst playing a DVD. I contacted customer care and told them of the problem.
They told me they will check the item and if it is repairable they will repair it. I informed them that the unit was brand new and came to me with a fault and I am not going to pay for a repaired laptop.
I was liaising with Rookeya Hajee from FNB and told her to cancel the contract that I initially took to acquire the laptop. She advised me it was with in the return period and it was possible, if they were no malicious damage to the lap top from me. I took photos before I returned the laptop, because it was brand new and just the DVDs rom was an issue
These correspondences occurred before 25 December 2014. They arranged and picked my lap top round about 1st week January 2015

I do not have the laptop and instructed them to cancel the contract but they instead deducted the 1 st premium.
I did not get proper response regarding the cancellation of the contact yet. I also sent an email to her supervisor.
It is still outstanding.
