Rip-off

To whom it may concern:

I had a cheque account with FNB and I subsequently stopped banking with them and may salary started to be deposited to a different bank.

So apparently a few of my creditor's debits orders were trying to pull money from this FNB account for a while. FNB was charging a penalty fee against the account, which is understandable.

What's baffling me now is that whenever I try to settle the account, FNB together with attorney assigned to the case want me to pay R15 000 to settle the account. Now, this was not a loan that I app**** for, where I would have done whatever I wanted to do with it. It's debit orders that were not honoured. This is a total rip-off.

Can someone look into this please?
