Retrenchment claim against mortgage protection not attended to for almost 4 weeks, but bond still debited.

We've submitted a claim for the mortgage protection cover we have been paying for on our homes. For the last 3 weeks the bank has been saying they are assessing the claim.

3 weeks later we have been told that there has been no assessor actually assigned to the insurer. My partner has been retrenched during this Covid 19 time and we can't even get the decent support that the bank so advertises it provides.

The very same bank still debits the mortgage. Very poor response for its customers indeed.
