Reserved Funds Banked by Merchant Still on Hold

<p>Approval code 300194 for LAM Lineas Aereas was received and air ticket number ********** 408051 issued on 20/06/2016 - transaction was banked by merchant on 23/06/2016. Approval code 305325 for SAA Airways was received and air ticket number ********** 408070 issued on 22/06/2016 - transaction was banked by merchant on 24/06/2016. FNB Business is still holding the 2 transactions as pending. </p> <p>I have made repeated attempts to get the funds released but was initially transferred to 4 different people and then am told that the merchant has to "release" the funds - surely the approval codes obtained together with what has been banked can be reconciled with ease and the pending transactions released. Is this not what technology is all about? An approval code simply matched betwen the reserved amount and the banked amount?</p> <p> </p> <p>I was provided a number by a lady called Ursula when I experienced this problem before - sadly she has not returned my calls.</p> <p>I am saddened especially since I have dealt with FNB since my first pay cheque back in 1981.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
