Reserved Funds

I have been calling your call center quite a number of times, but no one can help me. An amount of R3500 was put on hold on my credit card by 1st car rental, I was there when they swiped my card and received the incontact on the spot...Money was deducted from my account. 1st car rental assured me that they have released the money back into my account on the 26th of March, I haven’t seen this amount reflected on my account and FNB said they can’t trace any deduction of R3500???? This amount was deducted above and beyond the Money I paid for the actual rental and deposit for the rental. I did receive the deposit back, but not the holding fee and FNB says it can’t trace the amount even if i have an in contact saying the amount was reserved on my account. Also trying to explain to call centre agents how a deposit and holding fee is two totally different things when it comes to car hiring is exhausting. Please may you assist me.

Once again the same things has happened, I rented a vehicle from Avis...they reserved an amount of +/- R2400 from my account of which R799 was for the rental and the rest was deposit money. I have now checked my account and the -R2400 is no longer reflecting, but an amount of -R990 (which I’m guessing is the rental + fuel) But where is the rest of my money as my available balance hasn’t inflated instead it has decreased. What the **** is going on and why are these amounts disppearing from the transaction history so I can’t monitor them. Why is reserved money not going back into my account when released? This is *******! I’m so fed up! I’ve been keeping a very close eye on my available balance to see if the reserved funds are released back and now I’m less +/- R6000?????????
