Reported a broken device still no action

I ordered a laptop from FNB connect's website on Monday ****h April) it was delivered on the Wednesday. When I opened & connected the device the screen wouldnt switch on and there was a wheezing sound from it. Because it was after business hours I emailed FNB and expressed my gross dissatisfaction.

The next morning (Thursday 14th April) I called the department for devices and I was told that I'd get contacted to arrange for the device to get collected. I received no such call. Instead I kept getting reassurance from several individuals reassuring me that the matter would get looked into.

On Friday I get a call from a 3rd party (Platinum warranty), whom I've never heard of, asking me for the serial number. Which I subsequently provided. Then it was the weekend. On the next Monday (18th April, a week later) I made calls and once again just got reassurance.

Today (19th April) I get a call from the same 3rd party, tell me that the laptop isn't theirs. At this point I made my umpteenth call to FNB connect. The lady told me that nothing had been logged and she'll attend to it. The same 3rd party (platinum warranty) subsequently calls requesting a purchase order. I am extremely upset!
