Remember to do FNBs work for them
On the third of November R500 was deposited into my account which was, at that stage, at R0.00
This was at about 10 am. And the money stayed there until 12 hours later at midnight, when it went into the 4th of November, and the money was debited from my account with the payment descriptor of "Temp Loan Repayment".
And after I paid that amount, I still had money in my account for a few days yet no other money came off.
So I called you guys now and asked what was happening. First off this woman says that I have over R6000 pending in payments for the temporary loan on my account. And she states this a few times
I go back through all the payments every month and then she suddenly says it's just R3000 and something. Weird. But anyway.
so then we do come upon a month where it seems one amount wasn't paid for August. Reference number: TLN***
I never saw that it didn't come off at first. So the agents says it's my responsibility to check and see that if it isn't paid that I should call you guys and arrange it. Like your babysitter.
Then the agent says, but you see your account every day why didn't you pick up on this?
My wife also uses my card and saw that there was R2900 available, and assumes it's because we've been taking out temporary loans for the last half a year or so. Or more. Normally I just take out the loan each time it becomes available.
So she ends up drawing that and subsequently uses it, as one would.
Also, why didnt a national Bank pick up on such a huge fvcking glitch like this? Why should the customer be expected to keep an eye on things?
The agent also says once WE realised the mistake WE made WE sent out an SMS to apologize. Nothing else. Just an apology. I have my phone on aeroplane mode almost 24/7 because of spam calls and battery etc. So I don't look at SMSes and sometimes it's ok for so long I don't even get the messages at all. But thank you that that was the only channel you decided to use instead of an App alert or email. Great to know you covered all your bases.
So I've come to terms with that being the situation. As fvcked up as that is.
So I say that I would be totally willing to pay the loan off as I was absolutely not expecting for this to happen. And I was depending on this money as I love in Greyton and have to go register my newborn daughter who was actually being born while all of this was happening., And the money is for paperwork fees and transport etc.
Now I have nothing because "FNB is sorry for any inconvenience caused" -_-
On the point of me offering to pay off the money in portions but I'll just need this money back as it is absolutely urgent, she says "We don't pay back money to customers and we don't make payment arrangements"
But we must just sit here and hear "oh we're sorry, well do better next time"
The agent was dismissive of the urgency in the situation and did not try to offer any other form of help or anything by any means. She just Harped on that you can't do anything.
Now because of this ***** up it's the reason I can no longer get a temp loan.
And I've been a Customer for over a year but I'm still a high risk client for a loan or overdraft. Even though I bring R138000 per year through my account And had made every single payment on time up until this fvck up by you guys.
I'd like to know what your response to this is.
Thanks.
