Rejected Home Loan - Bad Excuse

Interesting, FNB rejected our home loan application but they did insure my husband first open an account with them. Only to hear sorry, but you've been rejected. Sly way of getting you to open an account with them.

Rejection reason: "In this particular instance your application has been declined due to the unpaid items, which is seen in a serious light by the Bank and has a negative impact on the application." Just because a payment bounced on your statements, doesn't mean it is an unpaid item... they didn't even pull a credit record. It bounced so you are a bad client (not potential - because they already caught you there).

But they did manage to get you to open an account with them

Will definitely not do any business with them in the future and will definitely be closing that account with them.
