Rejected bond payments so that they can demand inflated interest and fees on bond
When I pay my home loan, the funds bounce back to my account. I went to Alberton branch and I emailed collections and asked why this happens they keep telling me to omit zeros. Now this account is in 4 months arrears. I make an arrears payment again for R19500 on 17 July 2023, 19 July 2023 the money bounces back. Today Laura informs me that she removed a block from the account and funds can now go into the bond account. It's the 27th of July, I've been asking for assistance since may, while arrears just built. Why did collections not pick this up when I asked? Now FNB is asking me to pay the monthly installment plus money towards arrears. So you set me up for failure by blocking my account for a few months from receiving payment, so that you can inflate your installment from me? FNB has already apologized for the system glitch and accepted responsibility via email. I want to know what we are going to do to fix it, because it's not my fault that funds kept bouncing back. Why did collections not provide me with a suspense account number in the interim while there was a problem? So now what? If I don't pay arrears caused by FNB, are you going to come and take my property, after you've already said that it was your fault? What a bunch of bullies. I want this bond restructured because it's not my fault that your staff didn't pick up on that block, and your apology doesn't remedy the situation. Just because you are a huge company, you want to bully me into paying arrears caused by staff who don't know how to pick up what system issues you have as a company. How dare your collections department call me to tell me that I should rather set up a debit order. Give FNB access to my account when they already so clearly don't know how to collect payments properly? That will be the day.
