Refuses to remove debt review flag after rehabilitation and certificate has been provided

I was under debt review and have been rehabilitated for over a year now. My clearance certificate was sent to FNB and they have still not removed the debt review flag!!

Every time I try and apply for finance, credit or a bond/loan FNB and Wesbank comes back and say I’m under debt review!

This is unacceptable!! A clearance certificate was provided and this flag on my name is not supposed to be there anymore.

I’ve contacted FNB on numerous occasions via email and going into the bank and provided the clearance certificate every time and STILL this flag hasn’t been removed! No matter how many times I call in or how many times I go into the branches, everybody just pulls up their shoulders and say I have to wait 6 months! It’s been 18 months and it’s still not rectified!

As per our telephonic conversation, a formal complaint has been logged and reference number ***NF was issued.

I have referred the matter to the relevant department who will provide feedback.

Once again, I do apologise for the inconvenience and frustration caused.
