Refusal to cash cheques

After going into cash some foreign cheques from Certified Guaranty Company was promised my money would be in my account in 7 working days. Today I was called to be told they will not pay the money into my account as it is not my primary account and they wanted R3 000 put into my account before paying the agreed amount.
