Refund
On the 15th of December 2017 my Account was debited for an existing personal loan for the amount of R1,752.33. So I took the time in order to find out exactly what the reason for this might be.... I went to the bank, got my ticket and waited patiently. I was then send to an unattended desk where I had to make a phone call to discuss this matter with the relevant department....After about 10 min I eventually got threw to an agent witch I could discuss this matter with. According to the FNB agent there has been a notification going round stating that Existing loan accounts would be debited on the 15th of December 2017. I have made myself clear that this was done with out my consent and that I would rather stick to the agreed date witch is on the 26th of each month till fully paid. Furthermore we've discussed and it was agreed upon that the above mentioned amount would be refunded and back in my account with in 2 working days and only be debited on the agreed date.
So I Waited patiently for this provided time frame to laps and actually gave it more time...
On the 27th of January 2018 yet another amount of R1,752.33 was debited from my account for the same purpose with out the 1st matter being resolved at all. I used my personal phone to try and get hold of the relevant department but had no luck getting threw.... I eventually ran out of credit in an effort to resolve this and was forced to yet again make use of my own time to go into the bank and repeat the process.
The 19th of January I went into the FNB Branch, got on the phone,... waited....when I eventually got threw this was not the relevant department anymore and I was provided with a number for the "new" relevant department........ dialed the number and waited.....
I eventually got threw to an FNB agent witch could assist. I explained to the agent that I have now paid twice in one month and that a am expecting a refund, witch again was agreed upon. According to the FNB agent this amount would be refunded and back in back in my account within 24 to 72 hours.
I went as far as asking the question " If this is not the case, does it mean that I need to repeat the process" and the agent rep**** "yes"...
Again the provided time frame has lapsed and still no refund, no figures owned by FNB to myself reflecting in my account.....
I have got no time, nor the patience left trying to proof to FNB that they have slipped up,( just as a matter of opinion) , because their "existing system" is not fit to deal with such issues or it might be just for the mere fact that someone is just neglecting there responsibilities. What ever the reason or excuse might be it all boils down to BAD SERVICE.....
