Really FNB??? - "It takes a bank that does more to help" & “How may we help you?”
Dear...(She just works for the institution...) I hope you’re well. Thank you for your email. I’d like to put into writing our conversation from yesterday. I realise that you do not dictate FNB’s policies however you are my point of contact through which I’ll vent my frustrations with the hope that you will take it further. This is not a personal attack on you, but rather the institution that you represent. "It takes a bank that does more to help" & “How may we help you?” Are 2 of FNB’s catchphrases that you so love to advertise. However, when it comes to a time of need you have absolutely no regard for your customers' needs. I’m sure you’re in no need of reminding that we are in a pandemic, coupled with a recession, and now when freelancers and entrepreneurs like myself need our bank’s assistance you are not negotiable any way to assist us- as you mentioned my R500 overdraft reduction is not negotiable. Thank you very much after all "It takes a bank that does more to help"
I believe that I’ve had an FNB account for probably 35 years and during that time I know I’ve probably overdrawn a few times – less than the fingers on both my hands. So in essence I‘m not a *****, a *****, or someone who has tried to manipulate the system, but rather a citizen trying to make their way through life – honestly. And this is how your institution whose catch phrase is “How may we help you?” repays their clients. Thank you very much! Maybe I should have been a ******** and I would have ben treated with more respect.
So, as you mentioned my account will be reduced by R500,00 from the end of July. However – your treatment of your “valued,” clients will be made known via social media – after all I have nothing to lose.
