Rate review request handled very badly

FNb was my first bank and last up until a few days ago , when I made a request in relation to my home loan with regards to me being an over and above customer to fnb.

I thought Fnb would reward my loyalty and extra payments with a kind gesture on there part since my banking has ever only been with them.

After filling in the required forms and waiting more than a week on a reply I received one via email with an attachment that reflected Fnb answer.

Firstly I could not open the attachment as it was in a format that would not allow me to open or save it,I then requested the consultant to please call me as I was unable to read the reply in the attachment.

To my dismay I then received a reply from the consultant stating I was not granted the request I put forward.

I was given no reason for the request denial. Up till now the consultant did not call me. I see no reason why Fnb could not accommodate me in light of my banking patterns.

I will hensforth take my banking business elsewhere and relate my story to family, friends and colleagues to do the same.

After so many years of loyal banking with Fnb I'm appauled at how my request was handled.

Just became the worst bank in SA for me

Reviewer Update
I was eventually assisted by FNB after putting my complaints forward. I am not impressed with what they were willing to offer in the long run concidering my long standing relationship but I have expected it as what they claim was the best on offer.

I am clad at least they were willing to negotiate but this has made me realise that I should keep my mind open to looking at other banks in the future. I'm changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars based on experience and what was offered.
