R682 fee for 5 hours, dont ever open an account at FNB.
Fnb has done it again, a ridiculous fee of R682! I took my salary and placed it my maximiser to earn some interest as FNB is not always consistent with the dates of their debit orders so I left just enough for my Bond payments only to see they then debited early, so I go over by R3000. I immediately transferred a large amount, this is 5 hours after these debit orders went off. Today I see a fee of R682 that went off for no funds. R682 for 5 hours?!!! I changed banks close to 2 decades ago purely for the ebucks and I have 2 mortgages with FNB but after seeing this and a few small credit card charges, I am now convinced ABSA looks so much better, their rewards system actually gives you cashback! Cashback! Not the eBucks system where you can only use it at a few stores. I had to open a money maximiser last Sept to keep my reward level up. Its so difficult now to be on tier 5, so many products to have. They even did away with the 40% vouchers from most stores. I am fed up now, R682 fee for no funds that lasted 5 hours and eBucks rules forever changing and increasing, I'd rather move to any other bank. Can someone please advise me on how to move my Bonds to another institution? This is also why I have the bulk of my money at another bank. FNB has now become the worst bank to bank with and in the usual FNB fashion, I will get a call from a very uninterested person who sounds like they own FNB, telling me this is how it is, take it or leave it! This is how private clients are treated! Whats the point of being loyal to FNB?
