R32,366 salary sent from USA on 13 March still missing – FNB must act!
Account Type & Promise: I opened an FNB Global Account after confirming with FNB that it was suitable for receiving international salary payments. I was assured this would not be a problem.
What Happened:
Amount: ZAR 32,366
Date Sent: 13 March 2025
Paying Bank: US-based institution (details provided to FNB)
SWIFT confirmation: The US bank has repeatedly confirmed the funds were successfully delivered to my FNB Global Account on 2 May 2025.
The Issue: Despite providing all SWIFT documentation, tracking details, and ongoing follow-ups for over two months, FNB continues to claim that “no funds were received” and refuses to trace the money properly or escalate the case.
The Impact: This situation has caused financial hardship, stress, and complete loss of confidence in FNB’s handling of international payments. I’ve spent weeks chasing support with no accountability from FNB’s side.
What I Expect:
Immediate escalation to *****/Payments Investigation
A formal case number and confirmation this is being traced
A proper trace report or resolution within 7 days
Full reimbur*****t if the funds cannot be recovered
I have all documentation from the sending bank, and I’m happy to share it again.
