R250 penalties for closing R1000 notice deposit account

<p>Today I decided to close my investment account with FNB. They told me they are going to charge me R250 out of R1000. If I wait for that account to mature in September, I will only gain around R12.00. I only opened this account because FNB told me that they will allow me to redirect my eBucks to it. Now they have cancelled that option but refuses to close the account without charges. Never sign up for any FNB investment account.</p>
