Punishing good behaviour
I am very disappointed with FNB. In one fell sweep they have removed every incentive I had to keep my accounts with FNB. The first thing that changed was that my ebucks reward level fell from level 5 to level 3 even though my spending habits have remained exactly the same. I went into a branch to query this and it was explained to me that, because of the restructuring of how ebucks is rewarded, I fell two levels and are thus now earning an average of 4000 ebucks less a month. This amounts to R400 that I am now not getting even though I am exactly the same client with good spending habits as I was until July. Now I am informed that, even though I am maintaining the FNB prescribed minimum balance in my Fusion account (only gotten because of ebucks), FNB no longer waives the R209 monthly fees. Woepwap, just like that I am earning about R600 a month less merely because FNB have decided to punish their good customers.
I will be taking my business elsewhere.
