punished for closing my account

I app**** for a home loan at STD Bank on thursday and my application was declined, I was told that my name was listed on ITC by FNB for a R410 I know nothing about. I was so shocked to hear this because I had to close my account last year ( with the help of Robertson ' sbranch manager) because of FNB's ridiculous charges and he assured me that the account was closed and there was nothing due to them. I went to the Mitchellsplain branch today and I was told to come back on tuesday as they were unable to solve this problem, they told me that according to their system my account was successfully closed and I didn't owe them anything. Now can someone tell me how did my name end up on ITC and for what good reason. I'm very upset and frustrated as I don't have a place to stay , I can't rent or buy property because this stupid error is affecting my credit profile! I want answers and I want my name to be removed from that ****** ITC!
