Proof of residence declined.

FNB have handed me over without sending me a notice as per the legal credit act, Article 129. I did not receive any notice as per registered postal address. I suspected that the last time I submitted my physical address (same as postal) it was not updated. I went in to The FNB Branch at the grove mall Pretoria East this morning to once again update my details. It seems my forms were never uploaded successfully even after it stated all was in order. Long story short, FNB did not accept my police stamped, signed copy of my Lease agreement, they said that they needed an addendum as it expired, which is not true, my contract states that the lease is for a 6 month period and is extended month to month (no mention of a new contract). I have emailed the addendum to FNB and am yet to hear from them.

This is the clause in my lease agreement which they did not accept.

The Lease shall be for a period of 6 (Six) calendar months and shall commence on 1 AUGUST 2018 and shall on 31 JANUARY 2019. See Clause 3.2 here under for termination of this Lease Agreement. 3.2 Should the TENANT or LANDLORD wish to terminate this Lease Agreement before expiry, or at the expiry date, or any time after the expiry date (in the case of paragraph 3.3 below), written notice of his/her intention to do so shall be given 2 (TWO) calendar months before such termination of this agreement. 3.3 Where the TENANT continues occupying the PREMISES after expiry of the 6 (Six) month term of this Lease Agreement, the lease shall be extended on a month to month basis on the same terms and conditions as stated in this Lease Agreement subject to the rental escalation as referred to in clause 2.1 here above.
