Problem closing wealth account
Been trying to close my FNB Wealth Account and eventually someone emailed me and assisted. As soon as I emailed back with my ID I was called by a Phindi informing me that they cannot close it and I have to go into my nearest branch Very weird and suspicious as I've previously closed it via email and i am not close to a town with an FNB branch. So much for being a wealth client it doesn't mean anything. FNB has really gone downhill. Very disappointed as what am I suppose to do now if no one will assist me in closing the account?!?!?! Pathetic service

13 Jan 2023, 09:47I just received a call from Premier Banking which was a very strange call. Firstly the lady indicated I have to log into my FNB app and approve authentication and she'll assist me in closing an account but the account number she read I've never heard of
Something fishy is definitely going on. Not sure what her name is as I have loadshedding so my line was not clear.
I'm sure FNB can indicate who contacted me last.
