Private clients - " how can we help you" merely lip service
I wonder what is the benefit of being a private client when I receive generalized marketing messages telling me that I have failed debit orders ( I do not) and can apply for a three month payment holiday. I contacted my private banker who informed me that it is a marketing message that is sent to all FNB clients. I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked that FNB do not send it to me in future. My concerns are as follows 1. It is obviously not a generalized message as my husband is a private client at FNB and has never received this message. I have received it hree times. 2. Again if I'm a private client why do I receive generalized messages where no one even bothers to check the validity of the message? 3.Your marketing department needs to relook the tone of messages sent out. Instead of saying " you have failed debit orders, apply for a payment holiday... why not say " if you have failed debit orders apply for a payment holiday... 4. You offer payment holidays and when my husband app**** six weeks ago he has yet to have someone assist him. Apparently" How can we help you " is only lip service. I'm really disappointed in FNB and even though I've been banking with them since 1995, this last debacle has made me wonder whether another bank would offer better service.
