Private Clients Account
In or about 2018 i fell into financial difficulties and the result was that many off my accounts at FNB was behind in payments. I had filed for Debt Review but could not keep up with those payments either. More than a year ago i settled all my debt with FNB and not discounted amounts but the full outstanding amounts. Needless to say in a very short period of time FNB started to offer me better transactional bank accounts again and because of all the benefits i had decided to proceed wit these accounts. My Private Clients account gives me access to a private banker and this person assists me with opening new accounts and day to day queries so that i do not have to go to a branch. The account comes at a cost of R 450 per month. In the past before my financial difficulties i had the same account but FNB could not assist me with a Home Loan or purchasing of my vehicles and i had to use different institutions. Nonetheless i had to keep paying my R 450 account fee even though i had not enjoyed any of the benefits that this account should have offered me. Upon rejoining Private Clients again in 2022 i have had the same experience. I had purchased a vehicle in March 2023 and once again my bank could not assist me but another bank could. I also have to fight on a monthly basis to get my rewards as set out in the e-bucks rewards program because FNB has not removed an old account from my profile. R 450 might not seem like a lot of money but to pay R 450 per month and not receive many of the rewards or services that you should be receiving seems like daylight ******* to me. The private bankers are very helpful but they do not have the authority to make any decisions. I would rather have an entry level account and go to a branch to resolve my queries than pay R 450 per month and not get the benefits that i pay for.
