Private Client in Name Only: FNB’s Service Is a Letdown

I have been an FNB client for the past 8 years, and I am extremely dissatisfied with how clients are treated especially private clients. The level of service is unacceptable. I was in need of assistance, and this is not the first time I have experienced this kind of treatment. I rarely need help from my bank, but whenever I do, FNB is consistently unable to assist. This morning, I contacted my banker via email and attempted to reach her multiple times with no response. I then called the customer service line and was transferred to the “correct” department, only to be told that I had to go into the branch. After making the trip to the bank, I waited for 45 minutes and still received no assistance. This is beyond frustrating. The lack of accountability and urgency is shocking, especially considering the fees we pay. Why are clients expected to pay such high fees for service that is this poor? Bankers appear uninterested and unwilling to help, yet fees are deducted promptly without fail. FNB consistently gives its clients the runaround, but never hesitates to take its money. What makes FNB any better than any other Bank At this point, it seems those banks treat their clients far better. As a private client, you expect a certain level of service that is the entire reason for paying premium fees. If this is the standard of service, then paying these fees makes no sense at all.
