Prescribed Debt

I had an overdraft account with FNB in 2011 and faced financial difficulties to the point I could not service the overdraft. In January 2018 I recieved a call from FNB lawyers regarding the overdraft. On the 25th of October 2018 my FNB account was raided by FNB where they took R8000 from my account. The funds were meant for children school fees. I was left in a very difficult situation were I had to borrow to make ends meet. I thought thought this would be "prescribed debt". When I contacted FNB this is the response I got below:

As per our telephone conversation today at 08:59 pm regarding complaint reference number : ********** NF.
The R8000.00 that was deducted from cheque account ********** 2446 on the 31 October 2018, went towards your old cheque account *** ( ********** 6851).
There will not be any refund as you have not adhered to the promise to pay with Noman Bisset attorneys.
Please find the attached General terms and conditions that you have signed.
Please send all further questions o the writer and the attorneys on (011) ********** for payment arrangement.
Hope you find all in order.
