Prescribed Debt

I had an Fnb loan and I lost my job immediately after taking the loan. The credit protection policy declined to cover the loan after numerous emails back and forth and struggling to get an answer. Because I lost my job I couldn't pay it further. I have just realized that the debt has prescribed but the debt collectors are still hounding me. By Law I am not supposed to be harassed by MBD or any debt collection company
