Prepaid Electricity Mobile and Desktop *******
This is a prepaid electricity issue I have with FNB, which I have no doubt a lot of others have experienced.
If you use the Banking App to purchase electricity, it limits you to a maximum of R 1000 / transaction.
Has anyone realized that if you do another transaction, even if within the same minute, you get cheated out of units?
I saw this a few months ago when my GF purchased electricity on the app. The desktop App allowed you to purchase up to R 9999 in a single transaction.
Low and behold, FNB has changed the Desktop App to limit you to a R 1000. So they *****ing us.
Here are the two transactions i did on the 3rd of July 2020 within the same minute.
FNB :-) City Power Johann. Elec Amt: R869.57. Vat Amt: R130.43. Meter: 01211******XX. Units: 548.3kWh. FBE Units: 0kWh. FNB ***

Here is the transaction for R 2000 last month @ 1-92 / unit.
FNB :-) City Power Johann. Elec Amt: R1739.13. Vat Amt: R260.87. Meter: 01211******X. Units: 1037.3kWh. FBE Units: 0kWh. FNB ***
Have a look and you will see they *****ed me for 112 units @ a cost of 2-29 / unit. The first transaction was at R 1-82 / Unit.
So they charging you more on the next transaction and *****ing us. If you do R 2000 in one transaction, you will only pay the R 1-92 / unit. This is what FNB has changed, maximum of R 1000 / transaction.
Are you people F#$%ing MAD? I want my units FNB, you *****ing people over AGAIN as usual along with City Power, we pay you in advance and you *****ing everyone over.
Complete bull**** response, the person who responded had no idea what I was saying, clearly didn't understand the problem, responded with a complete misunderstanding of the issue, after investigating with the municipality. It had nothing to do with the municipality.
Came back with reasons being pre-prepaid balances, post prepaid balances, outstanding amounts, service fees, deductions, vat etc. as the reason for the units being taken away. Blamed the municipality for the amounts. AGAIN... NOTHING to do with the municipality.
Briefly said the transaction limit on the FNB apps was reduced to R 1000 / transaction for security reasons, but you can do a daily limit of R 3000. Which was my whole issue.
How does that figure ??? The issue is still unresolved, so FNB gets a FAT ZERO out of 10 for their effort, understanding or resolving of the problem.
Increase the TRANSACTION LIMIT IDIOTS !!!
