Premiere Account more like PATHETIC Account!

On 22 April 2016 I opened a FNB Premiere Cheque account for the benefits, namely the SLOW lounge access and eBucks rewards and was offered assistance to migrate my account debit orders and was informed that I would have access to a suite of bankers to help me telephonically to ensure that I did not need to go into a branch and could focus on my busy day at work. Turns out that none of these undertakings are true,

The debit order migration and salary switch is the worst, I have to run after them and they never get back to you, they will send you an sms after 1 call attempt (because I actually work and do not sit waiting for FNB to call me) and then I incur the cost and effort of getting back to them, it honestly appears that they will try every excuse in the book to avoid providing the service they claim to provide - they will call you to ask you for a telephone number and waste your time instead of using google or a phone book. We are not talking about small companies, these are listed companies on the JSE so I certain a presence on the internet is assured.

The next empty promise was the Salary switch - I informed them that they needed to contact my HR within a certain amount of time to meet the required cut-off, after finally getting through to contact centre (again nothing premiere about this because you wait 20 minutes) I was told that the salary switch can take 6 weeks - seems like SLOW does not only apply to your lounges but staff and services seem to be affected... I then went into a branch to get a letter of confirmation because the suite of bankers and the mybranch email could not help (breaking empty promise 3).

Having been a customer of Capitec for a number of years I can honestly tell you that FNB is not the advanced and effecient bank that they spend a fortune advertising, they are a traditional bank with traditional thinking and old school habits that will make your life as difficult as possible and not enable you. I honestly do not think I will stay with FNB for very long based on this experience.
