Premier Team a let down. Still waiting for resolution

Really frustrated with FNB Premier

Still waiting for the ATM Transaction Fee on my credit card (12/9/2016) to also be reversed as well as any interest that I may have incurred as a result of the withdrawal.

My reasons are as follows - (Bear in mind this is a duplication of the comments that was on my hellopeter post).

1. Normally when i go to an ATM i am asked which account i need withdraw from regardless of which card I insert. This is normally my experience when I use the ATM at Stoneridge Spar and Stoneridge Shopping Centre. As I did not have a cheque card due to FNB not giving me one did I was in any case forced to insert my credit card.

2. In this instance in Westwood Mall it did not ask me which account i need to withdraw from and automatically withdrew from my credit card. I wanted to withdraw from my cheque account. How can you not offer me the choice in one ATM and do that at another. It surely seems like a way to deceive and trick customers. My wife was with me and she also witnessed it not giving me the choice.

The logic is clear:

1. Why would i use my credit card to withdraw when i had funds in my cheque account? It makes no sense! I dont ever do that. My ATM patterns indicate withdrawals from Cheque accounts only.

2. Because of this and the worry that I will be charged interest unnecessarily I decided to quickly sit in my car, log on and transfer money to my credit card. If you look at the audit trail I did the transfer within 15 mins of my withdrawal. This is further proof that it was from the "wrong account.

3.Your app and internet banking also gave me two different balances which added to my confusion.

As you can see, the botch ups with me not receiving all my cards has put me into inconvenience. Add to this that the ATM did not offer me a choice on which account to withdraw. It is something that should therefore be investigated.

In conclusion - I have been banking with FNB for over 20 years. I am sure that you would like to keep me as a client for the next 20 years in addition to obtaining finance business from me.

In light of thisI request the following:

1. the atm withdrawal fee to be reversed
2 any interest to be reversed if incurred
3 my 55 day interest period to be reinstated.
4 the correct balance owing to be provided to me.

The amounts are small for a company the size of FNB. It will also be less than the time, cost and effort of me escalating to either the Ombud or the Small Claims Court.

I await the urgent reversal and correction of these items.
