Poorest service ever by FNB
I have two houses one is paid up, and another is a new bond bought in 2024 through FNB home loans. Before i bought the new house there was still a balance left on the old house. The new house is a joint bond. When i bought the new house i explained clearly to the home loan consultant i want the two houses separated which was not a problem. So, when i ask for the old house to be settled with the balance left the bank agreed to make what they call a structured loan. In the meantime that meant the old house is a surety for the new house and i was not aware of it.
I went and listed the old house in the market to be sold so i can reduce the debts and be able to manage my debts. i then meet up with challenges. In February of 2026 the house found a buyer then the seller is even buying the house cash. The process is the seller needs to deposit money in the attorneys account so they can continue with the process. The poor seller did so. Then the attorneys calls the bank for a title deed and that's when the problem started
This was sent to the bank in February nothing was done until March where the attorneys had to get me involved. First, they were told the title deed is lost, secondly, they were told I didn't apply for the title deed when the house was settled.
Then i emailed the bank to understand what is going on only to find out that i cannot sell the house unless i reapply for a bond for this new house i app**** for in 2024 for financing. Forms were sent to me in March i app**** attached my 6 months invoice and statement one minute we will get the answer the next no answer. Today i get the email with new application documents that are different to be completed, and they require new sets of invoices and bank statements and and.
Here is what is puzzling why didn't the consultant ask the people that makes decisions which are the correct documents to be completed and which are the correct documents to be collected.
i am not completing no new details FNB has my details the least they can do after taking 3 months to trying to resolve this matter is make sure this is done correctly.
Right now, the buyer wants their money back the attorneys want their payment, tell me who is liable. I am referring the matter to the ombudsman cause this service is pathetic. i am not paying no instalment until they get their heads together
