Poor treatment of disabled.
Account number: ***<br> FNB has no technology in place to accept electronic documents. I opened an account (telephonically). Based on my income I was approved a gold cheque account. I was told to hand in printed FICA documents. I told them I don't have a printer at home and cannot print personal documents at work. I asked to submit electronic documents. I was told that FNB cannot handle electronic documents. The consultant told me to print my documents at an internet cafe and take it to my branch. I explained that I was in a wheelchair and it was difficult for me to do that but he would not listen. I thought the consultant was not properly trained so I waited a day and called again. I was told exactly the same *******. I asked to close the account since I don't want to deal with a bank that is so outdated. I was told to visit a branch because there is no other way to close an account. I said again: I'm in a wheelchair and cannot visit a branch unless I pay somebody to take me there. They insisted that I do that. FNB is quick to open accounts, but make it impossible to close them. Then they keep adding charges to it. They also refuse the accommodate disabled people.
