Poor Services

I have been banking with FNB for as long as I remember, but of recent, I am very disappointed with their services. I will highlight the issues as best as I can below with the hope FNB will address ASAP.

1. On the 25th of October; I settled one of the personal loans (Acc. ********** 974058) I have with FNB. I never received any acknowledgment of this payment or a 'Paid-Up' letter confirming the account has been closed. To my shock; when I log in for online banking; I notice that the account is still active and has incurred interest of R35. When checking my credit score and report with Transunion; I see that the account is still listed as active, and that no updates were made to reflect that the total outstanding amount has been paid; or at least reflect the R35 that I apparently still owe the bank. After making numerous calls to FNB with no success; I decided to visit a branch to finally address this matter. When I asked the consultant over the phone on the above; he was vague and could not give me sufficient clarity. Instead; he told me about 45 days waiting period; that the accout was with the credit bureaus; and that one of their departments was still working on my account. This really confused as 3 weeks have passed after the account was settled. What work is being done on my account that is taking so long and preventing them to send me a Paid Up Letter and update the information with the bureaus?I want FNB to immediately send me a Paid Up letter and update this information with all the credit bureaus.

2. My second issue relates to the second personal loan (Acc. ********** 899214) I have with FNB. For some reason; they decide to debit the money on the 20th as opposed to debiting on my salary date (25th). Now this may seem insignificant to many; but to me it is. Everytime a debit is unpaid; I incur charges. Most importantly; prospective creditors see this on my bank statement as negative information; that I am unable to honour debits; and that I cannot afford further credit. In fact; it is fitting for me to argue that the reason I have been declined for vehicle finance by Wesbank and other finance institutions; it is because of how this account has been handled by FNB. At some point; I called FNB to say to them I have been declined by Wesbank; would they give me vehicle finance since I bank with them. The lady flatly told me that I would not be successful. From where I stand; FNB does not promptly update information with the credit bureaus thereby contributing to false information on people's credit reports. I only owe FNB about R2700 but my credit report shows that I owe them about R5500. I want FNB to update information on this with all the credit bureaus as per the outstanding balance. Further to this; I want the debit to go off on the 25th; not the 20th. More importantly; I want FNB to send me a settlement amount so I can settle this loan when the debit goes off on the 25th of November. Like I told the consultant over the phone when he requested that I send FNB a letter from our HR confirming that my salary date is on the 25th; FNB must check their records; i.e. when is my salary paid on my account? They have ample data to confirm this from over the past 3 years.

3. I also want to cancel the Life Insurance I have with FNB. It is not serving me any good as I have an existing life cover.

Please note that all the above were expressed with the consultant; but I decided to write here because he did not give me confidence my issues will be addressed as per the above instructions. Nobody from the Loans department, Collections department; or Insurance department has called me as he promised on our phone call.

My ID No. is: ********** 470089 and I can be reached on ********** 067. This is urgent and I expect FNB to respond ASAP.
