Poor service in delivery of debit card
On Wednesday last, 10th October, I received a ‘phone call from a Card Division agent to say my renewed Debit Card would be delivered to my home address “during the next 3 to 5 working days†though no specific day, or approximate time of that day could be given. When I pointed out how this arrangement was so impractical, she was most unhelpful and told me that this conversation was being recorded! I asked if the card could be delivered to FNB Rivonia (as I had done previously) where I could collect it. Yes, I was told, at a fee of R100. As the home delivery option was ridiculous and required me to be housebounf potentially for 5 day, I opted to have it delivered to the branch. This was done through the Rivonia Branch. The following day I received an “SMS†from Rivonia Branch advising me that my card was there awaiting collection, where I collected it on the 12th. I have been a customer with FNB for some 63 years and would have expected a higher level of customer service. Surely the courier company could have called me a day prior to drop off and arranged a mutually agreeable time. do not need this sort of treatment. I would like this incident investigated as it seems poor business practice and quite unnecessary and for FNB to revert to me. At this point I will consider my banking options.
Good Day Brenda
