Poor service from FNB

I’ve have my accident opened a new cheque account a few months ago and asoon as i realise and when they contacted me for the new card to be delivered i told them i don’t want the card and i contacted FNB and ask them to close the account...they lady said she will send it to the relevant department...this never happened and the account started to accumulate monthly fees and i called again and send emails requesting to close the account...

Finally someone responded, saying they will close the account and i don’t have to pay the monthly fees...

They send me an email (Subject: Account closure follow up CRM:***)

Good day Mr. Johan Van Schalkwyk Thank you for your feedback.

Kindly note that I have logged a reversal request for the fees charged on cheque account***7072. Once the reversal has been processed, the account will be closed and we will provide you with feedback hereafter.

Please expect feedback from me in due course. I trust the above is in order. Regards, FNB Premier | Tel: (087) 5777 000

After this email, the lady requested that i send my name, contact details, account i want to close, address and copy of my id (which i did) that was the 21st Nov 2019...

All of a sudden my current/Primary (Main) account don’t work and i can do no payment or purchases and my card decline everywhere i go, just to find out they have closed my current account and NOT the account i asked them to close..

I’ve phoned and send emails and its already with NO luck of getting this fixed... I cant pay my rent, i cannot put in petrol, or do any payments and its month end...also i cannot do any purchasing for black Friday because someone didn’t do their job properly...Its a disgrace towards me as a loyal client of FNB for many years and i wont get any compensation for the inconvenience they have caused me...

Im highly irritated and dissatisfied in FNB and thinking of moving my business to another bank
