Poor Service

On the 10th of October 2025, Mr. Tsepiso Ramokhondo collided with my vehicle and fully accepted liability for the accident at the scene.

Thereafter, we contacted his insurer, FNB Insurance, and have been communicating with a representative by the name of Shaylin regarding the claim.

We are extremely disappointed with the handling of this matter, particularly the excessive delays in communication and feedback. We have constantly had to follow up ourselves for updates, while our business vehicle has been standing idle for the past 7 months without any resolution. This has negatively impacted our operations and business activities.

On the 12th of May 2026, we received a settlement offer that is nowhere near the actual repair costs of the vehicle. We were informed that according to your “70/30 policy”, only 30% of the damages would be covered.

What is difficult for us to understand is that the insured party reportedly has R5 million third-party liability cover, yet despite your client accepting full responsibility for the accident, we are being offered an amount that does not even cover a reasonable fraction of the repairs.

We therefore request a full and clear explanation as to:

Why only 30% of the damages are being paid despite your insured being fully at fault; How the third-party liability cover applies in this matter; On what basis this settlement calculation was made.

We believe this matter has been unfairly handled and unnecessarily prolonged, and we request urgent intervention and reconsideration of the settlement amount.

We therefore expect that the damages to our vehicle be fully covered and repaired accordingly, without any further delays. The handling of this matter has already caused substantial hardship to our business, and we believe it is only fair that the responsible party accepts full accountability for the consequences of this incident.

We await your urgent response.

Good Moorning

I lodged a complaint on 21 May 2026 and received a reference number; however, to date, I have not received any feedback or a call from FNB regarding this matter.
I would like to express my concern and frustration regarding the lack of communication and urgency in resolving this issue. Your client has damaged our vehicle, and this situation is negatively affecting our business operations and causing us financial losses.
We expect this matter to be treated with the seriousness and urgency it deserves. Advising us to wait a certain number of days for feedback is not assisting the situation, especially considering the impact this has had on us.
Please can this matter be escalated and resolved as soon as possible, and kindly provide us with urgent feedback.
