Poor Service

I have been a client of FNB for the last 30 yrs.Over the years I have had various home loans with the Bank.In December I took out a home loan and was told at the time that I could have the interest rate reviewed after a few months as I was not happy with the rate offered me but accepted it as I was keen to purchase the property.A few days ago I app**** to have the rate reviewed only to be told that they(FNB)WILL only review it after 2 years to see if I am a good payer, this in spite of the fact that I am a private client and have never missed a payment with my previous bonds. Also they have my full credit history.I contacted SA home loans who were prepared to offer me an interest rate 2% lower than FNB.When this was pointed out to my private banker I was told I must supply proof of their(SA home loans offer) and then they will see what they can do.Well FNB you have lost a private client.

After 2 weeks and emails to private banker I get a response from the Regional Sales Manager that they are not prepared to look at the current rate offered me till 2 yrs have passed. They give reasons about the obstacles the banks face in terms of their economic viability talking about bad debt and risks to the bank etc.Hello I have never defaulted on any of my home loans in the past so please dont lump me with those that have defaulted. They then finish their email stating that if I FURNISH the Bank with a competitive quote they will reconsider my current rate.Well consider this,I am doing so by closing my account and transferring the Bond to another Bank.Hopefully this will improve your economic viability.
