Poor Service
Last week I had to collect a bank card for my wife. I am a signatory on the account. I had a letter from my wife, with proof of address and both ID books with the expiring card. I was told that my wife must personally collect the card. I insisted that I am a signatory on the account and had the necessary documents. Call the supervisor and she said no the owner must collect the card. They checked their system and shockingly the system has no record of me being a signatory on the account. I'm shocked and disgusted at FNB's inability, incompetence to keep proper records. The manager then offered to send the card to the closest branch. This is a violation of their standards. The manager was willing to send the card to another branch based on my word but would not give me the card based on documented proof and after telephonically confirming everything with my spouse. The supervisor treated me like a ******** telling me that she will do her checks. I have always collected my wife's cards with no problem but due to FNB's incompetence and failure to keep proper records, I had to suffer.
