Poor service

I recently opened an FNB account with the perception that I will receive better service than my old bank.

I went into the bank to arrange my debit order switching.
On Monday I received a call from the debit order switching department but could not talk at the time and asked kindly if they can call me back after 2PM.
My call was finally returned Wednesday morning. I was in a meeting and asked that they call me back in 10 minutes. They finally called me back 48 hours later (Friday morning).
This was to advice me that there is a problem with switching 1 of my debit orders as they as struggling to contact the relevant company. Within a second I googled the company and gave the number to FNB (I had no difficulty to find the number).

During this conversation I asked if this will be arranged by the 1st (this coming Tuesday) upon which I am told it takes 3-6 weeks.

I was not told this during my visit to the branch when I went in that day. I have arranged with our HR to pay my salary into my FNB account. This now requires me to make a loan to have money in my \old\" account to ensure that my debit orders go off.

My experience as a new customer with FNB is hanging by a thread"
