Poor service

I have been trying for a while now to close an account belonging to an estate. I am the Executor. My last visit to a FNB branch was on Monday 21st where I submitted all the documentation required (again). Today I received another SMS asking me to submit documents. FNB does not reply to emails asking them to call me. Does anyone at FNB actually know what's going on? How can it be so difficult to close an account? The last reference number I have received is ********** Q. The last SMS reads: "FNB :-) Dear client,EST LATE ****** ******. We require certified docs: deceased and executor's ID and death certificate. Kindly submit at FNB Branch to be s" You already have these documents, what is the problem?

Hi Naomi Thank you. I have received a call from the Walmer branch where the account is held. They request that I visit the Uitenhage branch again where I submitted documents on Monday. Pretty frustrating all round. I do not know what FNB actually wants but I'll see if I can make some headway at the branch tomorrow morning. I have had a similar experience with a well known cell phone company. The only way to get attention is to resort to HelloPeter. Surely this is wrong?

Hi Naomi Much better! I have now had several calls following up on this issue. I am told that FNB actually has all the necessary documents and the account is now closed so it appears this issue is resolved, thank you.
