Poor merchant support

In anticipation of the power outage in Centurion on 2 Feb, we called the Credit card division to establish the procedure for manual credit card transactions. After hours of phone calls to various people in FNB card division and with the assistance of the local Branch Manager, we spoke to Brian, who explained the procedure and gave reference number ***. Yesterday we called for, and obtained authorisation (with the applicable numbers) for two transactions. When we called the Finance department as per the procedure this morning for further instruction, we were told that we were not authorised to do manual transactions and that they cannot help us.<br> <br> We are greatly embarrassed to phone the customers and ask them to return for processing of the transactions. It is fortunate that their contact details are available and that there were only two!<br> <br> Question: is there someone in FNB card division (OTHER THAT AT THE CALL CENTRE) who can contact us to explain the correct procedure and avoid future embarrasment?<br> <br>
