Poor FNB debt review assiatance

EXTREMELY ********* AND UNPROFESSIONAL TO CUSTOMERS NEEDING TO CLEAR CREDIT SCORES ON ACCOUNTS!! I have been struggling since 2 Dec 2019 to obtain a letter of the account being paid up and to close the account. My debt counselling advisors have sent communication to inform them on the settlement of the account and request the account to be closed. I have been to FNB The Grove, waited in a queue for 1,5 hours to be told the account cannot be closed due to the risk level. This need to be removed by FNB Debt Review dept before acc can be closed. I received an sms from Tye Grove branch to inform me the risk has been reduced and I need to go to a branch to close the account. I went to Gezina Galleries FNB branch to close the account, only to be told the risk has not been completely removed. Again, I received mail to confirm this has been sorted and I can come in again to close the account. Today I got a gap in my schedule to finalise the account closure. BUT STILL THERE IS ANOTHER ISSUE TO BE CLEARED! It is not as easy for me to get time to get into a branch, wait in a freakin qeue forever, just to be told my request can still not be completed. This Debt Review dept are totally useless and so system for not detecting all concerns once and for all. Never, never will I recommend FNB. They do not even deserve a single star on the rating sheet.

Reviewer Update
This has been a month already and I am still stuck with ZERO action or progress on my request with FNB to close the account.

I want to make it very clear that the Debt Review Department has demonstrated their incompetence and are totally incapable of addressing plain and simple requests from the branches and/or customers.

A report will be filed with the Banking Ombudsman within 5 working days if the account is not closed and confirmation of closure is received.
