Poor customer support

The current customer support that I am receiving from FNB South Africa is very frustrating and annoying. I am currently on a work assignment in Namibia I reported my lost mobile on the 8th of October 2024 to FNB SA by means of two phone calls. One at 17h45 and the second one at 18h23. I was informed by the operator that she could assist me in de-linking my banking app but not in activating my FNB Online Banking Profile as I am outside South Africa. She will report it to the FNB IT technical team. On the 9th of October I received an email from FNB requesting me to complete a document. I was out travelling and returned the completed document to FNB on the 14th of October. On the 16th of October I received an email from FNB stating they tried to call me and was not successful. I did not receive a phone call on my Namibian mobile number and neither a missed call. I did provide my Namibian mobile number on the completed document and by telephone every time I corresponded with the FNB team. I responded back on the email requesting that we set up a date and time for the call. I have had no response on my email. On the 20th of October I sent another email stating that I have not been contacted as yet. No response on this email either. On the 21st of October a logged a complaint on the FNB website with ***. I received an email with a document that I need to complete. This is the same document as per the 9th of October. I emailed the completed document again. No response on my email. I made several calls on 22nd of October to FNB again and no success. Since the 9th of October I cannot access my FNB online banking account and I do not have the FNB app on my new mobile. I cannot perform any banking now for 2 weeks.

Telephonic call 24/10/2024 @ 17h30
FNB authentication system failure

I am still not able to use my banking app and online banking for more than 2 weeks now. This is unacceptable!!

I/we have tried several times to resolve my issue without any progress.
I had a call with Taryn Jackson late afternoon, who is very helpful in trying to solve my predicament.
During the authentication process I passed the questions except the following one “ When last did I with draw cash from an atm”? How the heck must I know this? I have not withdrawn cash for a while. I do not have a photogenic brain/memory. 99,9% of the times I use my bank card to make payments, thus the system failed my authentication process.
How can FNB allow a computer question to fail a person for not knowing when the last cash with drawl was made? A person is not a computer with a computer memory.

I need to transfer funds between my accounts and I cannot do so! *FNB is violating my rights to do my daily banking freely via my banking app and online banking.*

I am out of office Friday and Saturday for work purposes and will not be able to take any phone calls due to no reception in the remote areas I am travelling to. I have been authenticated 3 times telephonicly and one time via signature matching, now failing authentication due to silly questions.
I demand for my issue to be resolved by COB Friday 25 October 2024. Failure in doing so, a complaint will be lodged with NFOSA.
