Poor customer service- laptop order

After having spent almost an hour on the phone at my own expense, I am no closer to obtaining the laptop or gaining any valuable information as to how to go about doing so.

I received a call earlier today to say that my application was not processed last week due to an error on the system (this has happened previously with my credit card application).

After agreeing to a lengthy online application, I was told that the laptop was no longer listed on the website (HP Pavilion i5), possibly due to a lack of stock, but the reason still isn’t clear*.

I spoke to another consultant who proceeded to do the credit check which was approved, after which I was read the list of laptops from the website that I already had in front of me.

I made it very clear that I want a HP Pavilion i5, and none of the other brands listed. The HP i3 is not an option, as the processing speed is not compatible with the type of work it will be used for.

As a FNB client, I did NOT switch over from Absa fairly recently, only to be subjected to poor customer service.

I am in dire need of the laptop that I ordered, and I cannot understand why I was transferred from sales to another department who cut my call.

I shouldn’t have to run around trying to find out when you will be receiving stock, and your staff have proven to be extremely unhelpful thus far.

As a service provider, FNB should be trying to make things easier for me as a client, not the other way around.

If you are unable to provide that particular laptop, then please offer another suitable alternative within the same brand.

*I was also informed by the consultant that of the laptops listed on the website, only TWO are currently in fact, in stock. This is exceptionally misleading on FNB's part.
