Poor customer service
Trying to close an account for the past month and cannot get assistance

02 Apr 2026, 13:28So let me explain my story in detail I have a debit order that keeps going off my fnb account I have asked fnb numerous times to put a stop order on that debit and I contacted the service provide but they dont seem to stop debiting so I cant deposit the money into my fnb account for any outstanding fees bcoz fnb takes 7 to 10 working days to close an account which my then the money is taken out by that service provider. So when I asked fnb for a direct account number to pay my facility off they excuse is I need to deposit the money into my account then it will close so basically im back to square 1 with no solution. After putting this up on hello Peter I get the exact same response from fnb via email stating there is an outstanding balance I need to pay in order to close the account. FNB PLEASE ADVISE HOW CAN I DO THAT WHEN EVERYTIME I DEPOSIT MONEY AMD REQUEST THE ACCOUNT TO BE CLOSED YOU U TAKE 7 TO 10 WORKING DAYS TO CLOSE LEAVING ROOM FOR THE DEBIT TO GO OF ALL I ASK IS FOR A SIMPLE ACCOUNT NUMBER TO PAY DIRECTLY INTO IL SEND PROOF OF PAYMENT AND THEN MY ACCOUNT CAN BE CLOSED ITS SO SIMPLE

07 Apr 2026, 08:40So I contacted and again today morning requesting the account to close but I needed to know if there was any debit orders being tracked an agent by the name of makheka was so rude didnt understand my question and had the disrespect of asking me if I dont know the debit orders I have she is telling me debit orders that have been already canceled an moved over she was very rude amd disrespectful amd she just disconnected the chat. I am so upset with fnb I do not know what more to do to get my issue resolved im a client that simply wants to pay and close my account fees are being built which is not my fault im disgusted my fnb customer service
