Poor Customer service and problem resolution

Writing this review as I noted that your Namibian subsidiary is not on this platform

Firstly I appreciate the service I get in SA big ups, however we have been struggling with the Namibia side of things. 1 My partner used to have an account with FNB back in 2015 which he then closed as he was not using it, but then opened an account this year as the need for the account arose again somehow there was a mix up with his active account and dormat account, he could not do anything on the account it seemed event he IT team was not equipped to fix the issue as there were days on end where he would be at the branch trying to get this fixed. About a month later it seemed fixed, One time he tried depositing money into my account, because its FNB to FNB it normally reflects immediately however given its inter country we would give it about 24hrs, 3 days later the money had not reflected then we were told it was some security activation he needed to do then the payment will be processed, went to his internet banking activated all was required, about 3 weeks later the money had not reflected which he eventually requested they reverse it back to his account. 2 Somewhere between us waiting for money to reflect, etc FNB had a maintenance on a weekend from this, he did not have access to his active account payment history, etc the only things he could see was from the account he had previously and closed, i.e he only had access to payment history from back in 2015,etc of which it didnt make sense, as I too once had an account with fnb before but requested it get closed due to a lot of debit order ***** happening in it, I dont have access anyway to the old account and it does not show on my profile, the only thing we got was it was a system glitch which took about a week to resolve :-( 3 While inside the branch going back and forth trying to get assistance with the above issue, money was withdrawn in his account in a different town than where he was, fortunately he was in the branch and was able to reach out to the consultant, what startled us was that not only did the individual was able to withdraw using an ATM they were also able to use cellphone banking to send themselves money, how this number got linked to his account is beyond us. At that time it was determined that the card was cloned, mind you he had to wait more than 2 weeks to get the card, now that he got it, we found out it was cloned ok, assumption is the card gets blocked and he will receive a new card 4 More than a month later we told new card is ready he can come collect, firstly he didn't notice that the envelope he got was already opened until I questioned why is he still using the same card as previously as the one that was cloned, i.e Same card number, Expiry date, CVV which means he was issued the very same card that was supposed to have been destroyed, so meaning he stands to lose money again from the previous ***** as the money was not yet paid back. 5 Obviously that means we called in to have the card blocked to request a new card but then that would mean another month of waiting for a new card, also we still not sure if the EFT issue from his account to mine has been sorted so we basically been going up and down with no concrete resolution, never been in a point where a person can go 4 months with problems with an account shu, the effectiveness of FNB Namibia has to be questioned cause I believe this is negatively affecting the brand overall
