Poor communication with clients
So, for two years I have had a student account at FNB, being charged R12 in monthly fees. This month they decide to upgrade my account to premier and then charge me R200 in monthly fees. They do this without communication of any kind.
Then I spend 1 hour talking to an agent on the FNB app who goes ahead and tells me that student accounts have been discontinued for 2 years. Two years is how long I have had this account and only now I am told that they have been discontinued. This is not the kind of service I expect from a FNB.
How can an institution that we are supposed to trust to handle our money just decide to make changes to our accounts with no warning whatsoever? How am I supposed to continue trusting such an organization with my money? It makes no sense that you would change monthly account fees from R12 to a whopping R200 and not even think for a second that it might be a good idea to communicate with your clients about it.
That is very unprofessional from you FNB.
