Policy Cancellation

I took a debt protection plan with FNB, now I no longer need it because I am currently unemployed. I called them last year January to cancel and stop with the debit order since is affecting my account, they told me to send an email to ********** which I did on the 5th of January 2017. Today 8 March 2017 am trying to get hold of them still no luck been holding cose to 45min transfering me to one person to another. Can I be assisted please because I do not have money to pay the policy.
