Please help FNB
FNB needs help to help their customers I am now a senior medical doctor, and have been a loyal and happy FNB Premier client for more than 20 years. FNB makes special provisions for senior citizens with their investment accounts and their current account. I have substantial long term and short term investments with FNB. Despite this, last year, FNB suddenly began charging me a credit card account fee of R82 a month as well as 'interest' fees even though I am never in arrears with my credit card account and FNB does a direct debit of my current account on the due date. I understand that when I get cash back from Checkers and Netflix charges my credit card, there may be a charge. Otherwise my credit card account should not be charged but FNB simply takes my senior citizen funds! I reduced my credit card limit from R 80 000 to R 18000 as a security precaution on the FNB App. Despite my very substantial long term and short term investments with FNB and my regular income from my investments, FNB will not raise my credit limit back to at least R 80 000. All my importuning with the FNB premier credit card division proved fruitless so I have been forced to report this grievous matter on Hello Peter. Other banks are far more competitive and helpful nowadays. Please help FNB. I have won the Olive Schreiner and Nadine Gordimer literary prizes for prose and I have served as a newspaper columnist for the Sunday Times Extra for many years. My short stories and poetry is published internationally and have been broadcast on SAFM and LotusFM. I have been interviewed on MacArthur radio in Sydney, Australia about my medical and literary achievements. One of my books has been prescribed for matrics in Kwa Zulu Natal. I have been bestowed with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Department of Arts and Culture of South Africa. The Durban Independent Medical Practitioners' Association has honoured me for my service to my patients and the medical fraternity. Despite all this, FNB still thinks that I am a credit risk. Nothing has ever been ****** from my credit card account. I have, on occasion, cancelled credit cards as a security precaution. Please help FNB.
