PLEASE DON'T SWITCH TO FNB!!!! IT IS A DREADFUL PROCESS THAT HAS NOT CONCLUDED, GOING ON TO THE 8th WEE****!!!!!!!!!!

I heard FNB's radio commercial stating that FNB offers many rewards such as e-bucks and that switching to FNB was simple and quick with automatic transfer of Salary, debit orders etc.

I app**** for a gold cheque and credit account on 5 April 2018. I was told that the switch would be effortless and FNB would transfer everything for me.

I received my cheque card within a few days and was waiting for my credit card.

Problems: 1. The credit limit offered to me was R27000. I was leaving ABSA, which gave me R60000 at the time and I have been offered R99000 last week. NB: Woolworths offered me R45000 credit to buy food, who is underwritten by FNB!

2. There was a problem with my credit card application and I had to re-apply on 26th April. I had to re-submit my documents directly to FNB Credit Card Division.

3. A follow up was done last week, outcome of which was that everything had been finalised and delivery would be early this week. Today after following up again, I discovered that my application had expired and I needed to re-score my application.

4. During the troubleshooting process at the branch I was advised to transfer R1 from my cheque account to my credit card account (which displayed R0 available). I had done so via the FNB app. Failing this, I was put in contact with the Credit Card Division directly who then stated that my application had expired twice(due to no delay of myself) and that I further delayed the process by transferring R1 into the credit account.

5. My debit orders have still not been transferred, I was contacted by a consultant who advised me to fill in a form for each of my debit orders and submit that to FNB for processing. What the **** do FNB employees do, if I must manually submit details of each debit order that's found on the ABSA bank statement already submitted? 7 weeks later and all my debit orders have not been moved. I can't close my ABSA account due to this, as a result I am paying ABSA bank charges as well as needing to deposit money into that account because my salary has already been transferred to FNB. Oddly enough, my salary switched with no problems whatsoever.

How the **** did my credit card application expire twice & why the **** can this only be rectified by calling the credit card division and not by a visit to the branch. My applications were done at the branch and cancelled by the Credit Card division for no apparent reason.

I have been making multiple visits to the branch and submitting all required documents. From my side, there was nothing I could do to speed up this process any further.

Here we are 10 DAYS LATER with absolutely no progress!!!! FNB could not obtain the details to switch my debit order, yet with the exact details provided to FNB by myself, I was able to contact the service provider and switch my banking details within a 10 min call and a single email. Laziness & incompetence are now the chief characteristic of FNB. I opened my FNB account on the 5th of April, tomorrow is the 5th of June & I am no closer to what FNB promised. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM FNB!!!!!!PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM FNB!!!!!!PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM FNB!!!!!!

17 Days later Still ****ALL from FNB. After explicitly stating that my credit card should be delivered to the FNB Branch. FNB has sent my credit card to Takealot who has been sitting with my card for a few days. Now I must make myself available whenever Takealot arrives at work. FNB is synonymous with inconvenience and incompetence. Technically they do only ask 'How can they help you'...they said nothing about actually ****ing helping you.
